CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The International Conference INPP 2015 calls for abstracts to the following presentation formats:

–  Oral presentations

–  Panel discussions

–  Poster presentations

 

 

General rules

  • Only abstracts submitted in English language via the online submission form will be sent to the Scientific Committee for review.
  • Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
  • Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
  • Abstracts will be scheduled according to the authors’ preferences but the Organisation Committee reserves the right to decide on the final format of the presentation.
  • Please read the Conference’s TOPICS and choose one of the anthropological, biological or cultural variables as the main subject for your abstract.
  • Please refer to the selected TOPIC Variable and Abstract Title in all e-mail correspondence regarding the abstract.

 

Guidelines for authors

Oral presentation

–  Abstract format for empirical paper:

  • Background / Introduction
  • Objectives
  • Material and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion

–  Abstract format for theoretical paper

  • Aim
  • Argument
  • Conclusion

– General abstract format for both, empirical and theoretical paper

  • Presenting author’s contact details
  • Abstract title – limited to 20 words
  • Abstract text – limited to 300 words
  • Graphs and images – not permited

–  Oral presentation format

  • 20 mins for each talk and 25 mins to the audience’s final discussion for each section(see the programme schedule for Section 1 and 2).

Panel discussion

The general abstract should introduce a scientific problem or debate related to one of the anthropological, biological or cultural variables of the Conference’s TOPICS. Please choose panelists who are well informed about and have specific and/or different points of view regarding the panel’s topic.

– Abstract format for panel discussion

  • Presenting author/moderator’s contact details
  • Abstract title – limited to 20 words
  • Abstract text – limited to 300 words
  • Include a list with one moderator and 4 panelists

– Panel discussion format

  • The moderator introduces the panel’s topic (15 mins)
  • Each panelist presents his or her views regarding the topic (15 mins each)
  • The moderator calls for the audience to address questions or comments (10 mins)
  • The moderator closes the panel discussion (5 mins)

 

Poster presentations

– Abstract submission for posters

  • Presenting author’s contact details
  • Abstract title – limited to 20 words
  • Abstract text – limited to 300 words: including background/introduction, objectives, material and methods, results and discussion
  • Graphs and images –not permited
  • Provide a list up to 5 references

– Poster presentation format

  • Posters’ authors should present their works during the Conference’s pm Coffee break, please check out the conference programme.
  • To keep legibility of the poster, for the printed versión we recommend a size of 95 cm width and 100 cm lenght.
